ACERT training will empower team members on:

  • Understanding the function of ACERT and their roles in the community and the workplace.
  • Recognizing the types of hazards most likely to affect their homes, communites, and workplaces.
  • Taking steps in preparation for natural or manmade disasters.
  • Identifying and reducing potential fire hazards in their homes and workplaces.
  • Working as a team to apply basic fire suppression strategies and employing safety measures for extinguishment.
  • Triaging and basic injury assessment.
  • Identifying and selecting the best triage area.
  • The best method of selecting and preparing a treatment area.
  • Identify planning and size-up requirements for potential search and rescue situations.
  • Performing effective sizeup along with light search and rescue operations.
