ACERT training will empower team members on:
- Understanding the function of ACERT and their roles in the community and the workplace.
- Recognizing the types of hazards most likely to affect their homes, communites, and workplaces.
- Taking steps in preparation for natural or manmade disasters.
- Identifying and reducing potential fire hazards in their homes and workplaces.
- Working as a team to apply basic fire suppression strategies and employing safety measures for extinguishment.
- Triaging and basic injury assessment.
- Identifying and selecting the best triage area.
- The best method of selecting and preparing a treatment area.
- Identify planning and size-up requirements for potential search and rescue situations.
- Performing effective sizeup along with light search and rescue operations.
